Children’s Online Flash Game

Job Description:
Non-profit Christian ministry
seeks Flash Game Developer to work in-house on the development of a
child-oriented gaming site. This site will be used in the US to
help raise awareness and funds for our partner faith-based orphanages
in developing countries. The site will be in the vein of Club
Penguin, Webkinz, etc. Job candidate must have experience
in the programming of online games for children, with experience in
“edutainment.” Candidate must be creative, capable of “outside
the box” thinking, and a self-starter. Candidate would begin
the project on a 2 person team with a game designer but would need to
be able to manage/direct/recruit any outsourcing and/or teams of interns
if necessary. In addition, applicants should possess general web
back end development/scripting skills that they can use to help every
facet of the project and organization.
Applicants must be people of
high integrity and work well in an entrepreneurial team setting.
It is also helpful if applicants have a passion for helping children.
This is an on-site salaried
position located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Salary to be
determined based upon experience and knowledge.

analyzing how children of different ages interact with technology helpful.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have strong art skills as it relates
to children’s illustrations and graphics and the necessary technical
skills to work with the developer in their implementation. Candidate
must be super creative, capable of “outside the box” thinking, and
a self-starter. Candidate would begin the project on a 2-person team
with a developer.
