Meet July. Abandoned at birth, she was left in the care of a poor, elderly woman unable to provide for her. This elderly woman was on her way to the garbage dump to abandon baby July to the elements when the orphanage founder overheard the situation from the street corner and rescued her. Thankfully, July’s story is no longer filled with garbage dumps but instead with giggles, foot races, and family devotions. She lives at Mercy Village Home where she loves to put on a show – singing and dancing, even for an audience of one. Even though she’s now five years old, she still enjoys being spoiled by the older children as the “baby” of our Mercy Village family. July has a promising future as she is being cared for, loved on, and encouraged to be who God created her to be.
