 The Mission
Located in the Northcliff area of Johannesburg, South Africa, Baby Haven serves the abandoned and orphaned babies of Johannesburg, many of them the healthy children of HIV+ parents, by providing a home, a loving environment, and the hands of Christ to touch, nurture and bring wholeness of body and soul. Baby Haven serves as the link between the babies and their adoptive parents, their forever families. |

 The Need
Poverty, the HIV/AIDS crisis, and hopelessness combined to destroy many mother/child relationships. Many mothers who went to the hospital to give birth learned of their HIV+ status and simply left the hospital without their baby. Other babies were found abandoned in rubbish bins, in fields and public places, and taken to hospital.

 Webb Family
After a series of articles were published in the Johannesburg
newspapers highlighting the large numbers of babies that had been
abandoned in local hospitals, His People Johannesburg Pastors David and
Caroline Webb responded by opening Baby Haven in 2003. Today the Webbs are caring for nine infants and are involved in numerous other ministries. |
